The Chatham-Kent police have arrested a man following a break and enter early this morning in Chatham.
Around 4:00 a.m. officers responded to a break and enter at the UPI Gas Bar on Park Avenue East. The suspect(s) forced their way into the business by damaging a door. Once inside the suspect(s) stole a quantity of chocolate bars valued at about $100.
Officers flooded the area and observed a man riding away on a bicycle. Through investigation, police determined that this man was responsible for the break and enter and he was arrested.
A 46-year-old Chatham man has been charged with break and enter and wearing a disguise. He has been held in custody pending a bail hearing.
