(KIRKLAND LAKE, ON.) – Members of the Ontario Provincial Police Kirkland Lake Detachment have charged two men and three women with drug offences. The charges stem from the investigation of illegal drug related activities in the Kirkland Lake area. It culminated with a vehicle stop on Highway 66 and Highway 112 in Teck Township.
Seized as a result of the investigation were Fentanyl patches and Oxycodone. The estimated street value of the drugs seized is approximately $45,000. The incident occurred at approximately 10:12 p.m. on July 21, 2015.
Charged are Rheal ST-JEAN age 53 of Hamilton, Ontario with Trafficking a Controlled Substance, Possession of a Controlled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking, Robert ST-JEAN age 64 of Kirkland Lake, with Trafficking a Controlled Substance, Possession of a Controlled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking, Annie ST-JEAN age 40 of Kirkland Lake, Ontario with Trafficking a Controlled Substance, Possession of a Controlled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking, Jeannine ST-JEAN age 65 of Hamilton, Ontario with Trafficking a Controlled Substance, Possession of a Controlled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking and Gloreya MAURER age 56 of Kirkland Lake, Ontario with Conspiracy to commit indictable Offence, Possession of a Controlled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking. The accused are remanded into custody pending a bail hearing.
