44 Year Old From Central Huron Caught Going 131 in a 60

(CENTRAL HURON, ON) – Another driver will be heading to court to face a Racing charge come this September after she was stopped by police last week. Just after 7:30 a.m. on August 11, 2016 a Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) spotted a Ford Fusion racing through the village of Kinburn. The investigating officer watched as the Fusion travelled northbound on Kinburn Line at an extremely high rate of speed. A speed measurement was taken with a RADAR device and the speed of the Fusion was locked at a 131 km/h in a posted 60 km/h zone.

The officer initiated a traffic stop and the vehicle was pulled over. The driver, Karen BERGSMA, 44 years of age, from Central Huron has been charged with Racing. She will have to attend Provincial Offences court on September 20, 2016 to answer to her charge. Her licence has been suspended for seven days and her motor vehicle will impounded for a week.
