(QUINTE WEST, ON) – The Quinte West OPP is investigating a theft and a mischief that occurred in Batawa.
Sometime after 10:30pm on July 1st, 2014 and prior to 7:30am on July 2nd, 2014 unknown suspect(s) stole approximately 41 Canadian flags. The flags were attached to small flag poles and 15 of the poles were also stolen and a further 7 poles were damaged. The flags were being used for Canada Day Celebrations and have also been used to line the route to the Afghanistan Repatriation Memorial.
The total value of the property taken and damaged is approximately $2000.
