4 Good Samaritans That Aided Assault Victim Requested To Contact Police

(NORWICH, ON.) – The Oxford County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were called to investigate an assault at the Tim Horton’s parking lot, located on Highway #59 in Norwich shortly after 8:00 a.m. on Thursday December 26, 2013.

The 63 year old male victim was beginning to exit the Tim Horton’s drive-thru, when he was pulled out of his vehicle and assaulted by an unknown male on foot. The victim received serious facial injuries for which he was transported to an area hospital for treatment.

The suspect returned to Tim Horton’s a short time later and was arrested by OPP.

Charged under the Criminal Code of Canada is 33 year old, Cornelius Bernardus VANWOERDEN of Norwich with:

– Aggravated Assault
