(MUNICIPALITY OF MEAFORD, ON) – On July 10, 2016 at approximately 2:35 a.m., members of Grey County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were conducting a Reduce Impaired Driving Everywhere (R.I.D.E.) spot check on Grey Rd. 18 at Concession 10 in the Municipality of Meaford.
A driver operating a tow truck, a 2009 Chevrolet Silverado CB, that had stopped at the R.I.D.E. check, was found to have been drinking alcohol. After failing a roadside breath test, he was arrested for impaired over 80 mg and transported to the Chatsworth OPP Detachment for further breath tests, which he failed.
36-year old Sterling HENDERSON of Owen Sound was charged with driving with over 80 mgs of alcohol in his system.
He is scheduled to appear in court in Owen Sound on July 21, 2016.
