3 Males Charged with Stunt Driving on Forks of the Credit Road

(CALEDON, ON) – On Sunday, July 3, 2016 at approximately 1:13 am, an officer from the Caledon Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) was conducting radar enforcement on Forks of the Credit Road. The officer observed the drivers of three Honda Civics travelling at high rates of speed and determined all three vehicle speeds to be 113 km/hr. in a 50 km/hr. zone.

As a result of the traffic stop, Daniel Da Silva JACINTO, 20, Alexandre Da Silva JACINTO, 22 and Dominic Lance, LEE, 22, all from Milton were charged with Racing a Motor Vehicle.

All of the involved vehicles were impounded for seven days as a result of the charges.

All drivers are scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Caledon at a later date.

Police would like to remind motorists that Provincial traffic laws play an essential role in saving lives and reducing injuries on our roadways and the OPP is committed to their enforcement to reduce aggressive and unsafe driving behaviour.
