(HORNEPAYNE, ON) – On December 22, 2013 at 6:00 am officers from the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Superior East Hornepayne Detachment were advised that a 2003 Ford F-150 had just been stolen from a residence on Riverside Drive in Hornepayne. This vehicle was recovered shortly thereafter and returned undamaged to the owner.
A second complaint was received at 6:40 am from another resident on Riverside Drive that someone had attempted to steal their 2010 snow machine. OPP investigation led to the discovery of more criminal offences including a break and enter to a third residence on Riverside Drive.
As a result 3 males were arrested and charged with the following;
Kashtin ZACHARIE-DAIGLE, 22 years of age of Sudbury, Ontario
1. Theft Over $5,000 of Motor Vehicle – 2 counts
2. Possession of Stolen Property over $5,000
3. Possession of Stolen Property under $5,000
4. Break and Enter
5. Fail to Comply with Probation Order
Joshawa ZACHARIE, 25 years of age of Sudbury, Ontario
1. Theft Over $5,000 of Motor Vehicle
2. Possession of Stolen Property over $5,000
3. Fail to Comply with Probation Order
Donald WRIGHT, 26 years of age of Sault Ste Marie
1. Theft Over $5,000 of Motor Vehicle
2. Possession of Stolen Property over $5,000
All 3 accused were transported to Sault Ste Marie to appear for a bail hearing.
