26 Year Old Drunk Driver Busted

(SUDBURY, ON)- On December 7, 2015, members of the Sudbury Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were on patrol and observed a vehicle travelling in the centre median of an undivided four lane section of Highway 69, in the City of Greater Sudbury.

At approximately 12:50 a.m., officers initiated a traffic stop and determined that the driver had consumed alcohol.

Anna LI, 26 years of age, from Sudbury, was arrested and charged with the following:

Adult – Driving while ability impaired – motor vehicle, contrary to the Criminal Code

Driving with more than 80 milligrams of alcohol in blood, contrary to the Criminal Code

Her driver’s licence has been suspended for 90 days and the vehicle she was operating was impounded for seven (7) days.

The accused will appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Sudbury, on December 23, 2015, to answer to her charges.

The OPP is reminding motorists that there is no safe amount of alcohol or drug consumption when driving. Anyone who suspects a driver is driving while impaired is urged to call police by dialing 9-1-1 immediately.
