23 Year Old Airlifted To Hospital – Howick-Turnberry Road Closed

(HOWICK, ON) – Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) and investigators from the OPP West Region Technical Traffic Collision Investigation Team (TTCI) are currently on scene investigating a single motor collision that occurred this morning north of the village of Fordwich.

At approximately 11:00 a.m. Huron County OPP, Huron County EMS and Minto Fire Department personnel responded to the crash scene located on Howick-Turnberry Road (County Road #7) between McIntosh Line and Toll Gate Line.

The preliminary investigation has revealed the driver of a Ford pickup truck was travelling eastbound on Howick-Turnberry Road when he struck the guard rail on the north side of the road. The vehicle then entered the north ditch, rolled and collided with a hydro pole. The single occupant driver was found ejected from the vehicle.

The 23-year-old driver, William HOGG, from Durham was transported to a local hospital by land ambulance and was then airlifted to hospital in London. He remains in hospital with life-threatening injuries.

Howick-Turnberry Road (County Road #7) remains closed between McIntosh Line and Fordwich Line.
