(ZORRA TOWNSHIP, ON) – The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Oxford County detachment is investigating an incident at a Road 78, Zorra Township, Ontario address.
On Sunday, February 12, 2017 at approximately 12:05 a.m., police were contacted by a citizen reporting a weapon related incident.
Through the course of investigation, it was determined that a 22-year-old male of Ingersoll, Ontario attended the address and became involved in a verbal altercation with residents. During the altercation, a firearm was discharged however no injuries were reported.
The male left the address and was later located by Waterloo Regional Police, where he was taken into custody without incident.
Teddy HARVEY, 22-years-of-age, of Ingersoll is charged with the following:
Attempt Murder
Pointing a Firearm (2 counts)
Careless Use of Firearm
Possession of a Weapon for Dangerous Purpose
Assault with a Weapon
Theft Under $5,000
Theft Over $5000
Possession of property Obtained by Crime Under $5,000
Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Over $5000
Break and Enter
Possession of break in tools
Possession of a loaded restricted firearm
He is being held in custody pending a bail hearing to answer to the charges.
