(TOWNSHIP OF MAPLETON, ON) – On Sunday November 5, 2017 at approximately 2:39 a.m., a Wellington County OPP officer was monitoring traffic on Highway 6 south of Arthur in the Township of Mapleton. The officer observed a female driving a 2012 Dodge Ram pickup truck travelling at a speed that appeared to be well above the posted speed limit. The vehicle was locked on radar at 143 km/h in an 80 km/h zone.
22-year-old Karly Samantha MAKHAN-DRABBLE of Cambridge has been charged with Race a Motor Vehicle contrary to the Highway Traffic Act and will appear in Guelph Provincial Court on December 20, 2017.Her driver’s licence and vehicle were seized for a period of seven days as per statute.
