21 Year Old Caught Going 167 in a 90 Outside Wingham – Vehicle Impounded

(NORTH HURON, ON) – A young driver from Cambridge has been charged with Racing following a traffic stop that took place yesterday afternoon just outside the Town of Wingham. At approximately 12:37 p.m. on February 28, 2016 a Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officer observed an Infinity Q-35 sedan travelling eastbound on Amberley Road at a high rate of speed. The officer confirmed his visual observations of the speeding vehicle by using a RADAR device. The speed of the vehicle was measured at a high of 167 km/h in a posted 90 km/h zone. A traffic stop was initiated and the driver was subsequently charged.

Joshua PAINTER, 21 years of age, from Cambridge has been charged with “Race a Motor Vehicle”. He has a court appearance scheduled for April 5, 2016 at Provincial Offences Act Court in Goderich. His licence has been suspended for seven days and his motor vehicle will be impounded for the week.
