(BLUEWATER, ON) – Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers are currently investigating the theft of a GMC Envoy sports utility vehicle that was stolen from a Staffa Road residence this past weekend. The owner of the vehicle reported he saw his vehicle parked in his laneway around 7:30 p.m. on June 20, 2015 and when he woke up Sunday morning around 7:00 a.m. he found his vehicle had been stolen.
Officers had been searching the surrounding area on Saturday afternoon for a male suspect that was involved in a police chase so it is possible this crime is connected to the male suspect that fled from police earlier in the day.
The stolen vehicle is described as a 2003 GMC Envoy that is a dark grey, almost black in colour. Two unique features of the vehicle are the vehicle is missing its’ right hand turn signal light and there is a blue fishing lure decoration hanging from the rear view mirror.
The vehicle had been left unlocked with the keys inside the vehicle.
