On Friday June 30, 2017 the Owen Sound Police Service Drugs & Intelligence Unit, with the assistance of the Community Oriented Response and Enforcement (CORE) Unit and the Criminal Investigations Branch, arrested a 36 year old male and a 34 year old female. The female was wanted on an outstanding arrest warrant from Barrie, ON. As a result of the arrests, Police recovered Methamphetamine, Heroin, Fentanyl, LSD and cash proceeds. The estimated street value of the seized controlled substances and cash proceeds exceeds $20,000.
A 36 year old West Grey man faces 6 charges including possession of Methamphetamine for the purpose of trafficking, possession of heroin for the purpose of trafficking, possession of Fentanyl for the purpose of trafficking, possession of LSD for the purpose of trafficking and possession of the proceeds of crime. The male was held in custody pending a bail hearing scheduled for July 1, 2017.
A 33 year old Owen Sound woman faces two charges including of Methamphetamine for the purpose of trafficking and possession of Heroin. The female was held in custody pending a bail hearing scheduled for July 1, 2017.
