On July 8, 2014 members of the Waterloo Regional Police Service arrested three adult males and an adult female, all of Kitchener, for possession for the purpose of trafficking. Quantities of heroin and marihuana were seized at the time of the arrest. A Kitchener residence was later searched, and further quantities of heroin were seized. The total street value of the seized drugs exceeded $20,000. All four of the arrested parties were held in police custody pending the results of a show cause hearing on July 9, 2014.
