(NORTH MIDDLESEX, ON) – On January 19, 2016, at approximately 2:59 a.m., the Middlesex County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were dispatched to a structure fire.
The structure was a barn, housing livestock, on a property in the 800 block of Parkhill Drive.
The barn was destroyed, and approximately 2000 swine perished in the fire.
Officers assisted the North Middlesex Fire department with the scene, but have now cleared.
The investigation remains with the Middlesex County Fire Investigator. The Office of the Fire Marshal (OFM) has been contacted.
