$2,000 Drug Bust

(Madoc, ON) – On January 16, 2015 at 6:00 a.m. members of the Ontario Provincial Police Organized Crime Enforcement Bureau – Drug Enforcement Unit (DEU), Provincial Operations Intelligence Bureau, Emergency Response Team (ERT), OPP Canine Unit and Central Hastings Detachment executed a Controlled Drug and Substances Act warrant at a residence on St. Lawrence Street West in the Village of Madoc.

Investigators seized marihuana, cocaine, prescription medication and related drug paraphernalia with a street value of approximately $2000.

As a result, 23 year old Augustus FENATO and 22 year old Paul MATHESON both of Madoc, ON were arrested and charged with:

Possession of a Schedule II substance for purpose of trafficking – under 3kgs

Possession of a Schedule I substance – Cocaine

Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of Trafficking – Other Drugs

Possession of a Schedule I substance – Other Drugs

They will appear in Ontario Court of Justice, Belleville on February 26, 2015.
