(TOWNSHIP OF CENTRE WELLINGTON, ON) – On October 7, 2017 at approximately 9:20 p.m. Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a report of an erratic driver travelling on Townline Road, Township of Guelph-Eramosa.
While patrolling for the vehicle OPP were advised that it had now crashed into a ditch on the Eramosa-Garafraxa Townline, just east of Fifth Line Township of Centre-Wellington.
OPP attended and spoke with the driver who was showing signs of impairment.
20-year-old Spencer KOPELCHAK of Burlington has been charged with Driving while Ability Impaired by Drug contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada. A 90-day Administrative Driver’s Licence Suspension (A.D.L.S.) and 7-day Vehicle Impoundment was initiated as per statute. He is scheduled to attend Guelph Court on November 14, 2017.
