(TOWN OF MINTO, ON) – On October 30, 2016 at approximately 2:30 p.m. members of the Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) investigated the driver of a 2006 Chevrolet pick-up truck that was observed travelling northbound on Elora Street in Harriston, Town of Minto, for a Highway Traffic Act (HTA) violation.
While speaking with the driver, police immediately detected the strong odour of marihuana inside the vehicle. Officers seized a small baggie containing a green leafy substance believed to be marihuana.
20-year-old Logan KARCHER of Hanover has been charged with Possession of Marihuana Under 30 Grams contrary to the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act (CDSA). He is scheduled to appear in Guelph Criminal court on December 13, 2016 to answer to the charge.
