20 Year Old Caught Going 112 in a 50 in Chatsworth – Name Released

(TOWNSHIP OF CHATSWORTH, ON) – On June 5, 2016 at approximately 7:19 p.m., Grey County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) observed a vehicle, a Jeep Wrangler, travelling at a high rate of speed southbound on Hwy. 10 entering the hamlet of Holland Centre, in the Township of Chatsworth, which is a 50 km/hr zone. The cruiser’s radar registered a speed of 112 km/hr.

The officer attempted to stop the vehicle by activating the cruiser’s emergency equipment. The vehicle slowed down but continued travelling southbound on Hwy. 10 before turning west onto Sideroad 60 and south onto the West Back Line, where it eventually came to a stop.

20-year old Kaiwci ZHANG of Mississauga, Ontario was charged with drive a motor vehicle – speeding by 50 or more km/hr and fail to stop when directed by police.

He is scheduled to appear in court in Owen Sound on July 25, 2016.

His driver’s licence was suspended and the vehicle was impounded for seven days.
