(TOWNSHIP OF GEORGIAN BLUFFS, ON) – On February 20, 2016 at approximately 10:33 a.m., Grey County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) attended the No Frills grocery store located on Hwy. 6 & 21 in the Township of Georgian Bluffs in response to a theft that had occurred. The suspect, who had concealed a canned beverage in the sleeve of his jacket and left the store without paying for the item, was confronted by a store employee.
Edward James MASON-ROOTE, 19, of Owen Sound was charged with theft under $5,000, breach of probation (x2) and was issued a Trespass Notice from No Frills.
He is scheduled to appear in Court in Owen Sound on March 31, 2016.
