(TOWNSHIP OF SOUTHGATE, ON) – On Friday, June 26, 2015 at approximately 9:30 p.m., Grey County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a single motor vehicle collision on Grey Rd. 9 near Grey Rd. 8 in the Township of Southgate.
Investigation revealed that the driver of a 2010 Ford COF pick-up truck fell asleep while driving eastbound on Grey Rd. 9. The vehicle left the roadway and struck several (6) guard posts on the south side of the road. The driver was not injured despite the damage to property.
Thomas Morgan ALLEN, 19, of Hanover, Ontario was issued a Provincial Offence Notice ticket for careless driving under the Highway Traffic Act.
