(MUNICIPALITY OF GREY HIGHLANDS, ON) – Grey County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged a man with several offences under Regulation 316 of the Highway Traffic Act following a collision which occurred on September 29, 2015 on South Line C in the Municipality of Grey Highlands.
The man was operating a 150 cc dirt bike on private property prior to entering the west bound lane of South Line C where his dirt bike collided with a west bound 2007 Dodge pick-up truck. Both the operator of the dirt bike and his passenger were taken to hospital with minor injuries. The driver of the pick-up truck was not injured.
20-year old Jonathan MORRISON of Grey Highlands was charged with the following offences: Off Road Vehicle – Driver – No Helmet; Off Road Vehicle – No ORV Permit; Off Road Vehicle – No Driver’s Licence; Off Road Vehicle – Not Properly Insured; Off Road Vehicle – Enter Shoulder or roadway when not safe. He is scheduled to appear in court on November 23, 2015.
His 19-year old passenger, Alex WICKENS, of Grey Highlands, was charged with not wearing a helmet.
