(CHATHAM-KENT, ON) On March 20, 2015, a Chatham-Kent Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officer was conducting RADAR enforcement on Highway 401 near Orford Road.
Just before 10:00 p.m., the officer observed an eastbound Toyota Corolla that appeared to be exceeding the posted speed limit of 100 km/hr. The RADAR registered speeds of up to 186 km/hr.
The 31 year old male driver from Toronto has been charged with racing. The driver’s licence has been suspended and the vehicle impounded for a period of seven days, as per statute.
