(KENORA, ON) On Sunday March 2, 2014 just before 4:00 am members of the Kenora Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were conducting general patrol of downtown Kenora when they observed a male on Second Street South. Police noted something on the street near the male and determined it to be a rifle. The male was arrested and the unloaded .303 calibre rifle was secured by police.
As a result of this investigation, 18 year old James KRATOCHVIL of Kenora has been charged with Possession of a Weapon for a Dangerous Purpose and Unauthorized Possession of a Fireman contrary to the Criminal Code. He has been held in custody and will appear in Kenora Court on March 3, 2014.
