(MIDDLESEX CENTRE, ON) – On February 3, 2016 at approximately 12:55 a.m., the Middlesex County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a noise complaint of a vehicle playing loud music for the past hour.
The motor vehicle, a black Chevrolet sport utility vehicle (SUV), was located parked on Elmview Drive. Officers determined the 18-year-old male driver had been drinking alcohol. He was arrested, and transported to a Middlesex County OPP detachment for breath testing.
As a result of the police investigation, Elijah EDEN, from Middlesex Centre, Ontario, has been charged with care or control while impaired (alcohol), and care or control over 80 mgs, contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada. He was further charged under the Highway Traffic Act (HTA) with novice driver – B.A.C. above zero.
The accused was released from police custody by way of a Promise to Appear, and is scheduled to answer the charges before the London courts on March 22, 2016.
