(CITY OF KAWARTHA LAKES, ON.) – A recent vehicle stop conducted by the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has resulted in two Ajax youths being charged with numerous offences.
On March 19, 2015 an OPP officer stopped a vehicle for speeding on Highway 7 near Kenscott Crescent. The vehicle was travelling at 99km/h in a 50km/h zone at the time. Further investigation resulted in the driver, a 17 year old male from Ajax, being charged with speeding, possession of marihuana, under 30 grams and having open alcohol in the vehicle. The youth will appear in court, in Lindsay, on April 7, 2015.
