(Bancroft, Ontario) – On Saturday the 07th of September 2013, officers from the Organized Crime Enforcement Bureau (OCEB), OPP Drug Enforcement Unit (DEU), OPP Emergency Response Team (ERT), and members of the Bancroft OPP executed a Controlled Drug and Substance Act (CDSA) search warrant at a property on St. Ola Road in Limerick Township. 1612 marihuana plants were seized with a street value of approximately $1,612,000 dollars.
Stanley WELLS, a 57 year old male of Limerick Township has been arrested and charged with production of marihuana and possession of marihuana. He was released on a promise to appear with conditions and his next court appearance is scheduled for Tuesday the 12th of November 2013 at the Ontario Court of Justice in Bancroft, Ontario.
