(TOWN OF ERIN, ON) – Today at approximately 9:30 a.m. Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police responded to an incident at Erin District High School at 14 Boland Drive, Town of Erin.
A 16-year-old male youth is in police custody and facing several criminal charges in relation to bringing a weapon to school.
The incident began when the suspect informed other students that he had a weapon in his possession. The students advised staff of their concerns and the staff located the suspect and removed him from his classroom
OPP attended and arrested the youth for weapons dangerous.
The investigation is ongoing and more charges are pending.
