(Napanee, ON)- On Thursday, May 21st, 2015 officers with the Napanee Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police responded to a report of a break and enter to a residence located on Hoggs Back Road in Tyendinaga Township.
The break in is believed to have occurred sometime between 7:30 a.m. and 4:20 p.m. on May 21.
Entry to the residence was made by forcing open the rear door of the garage which is attached to the home.
Police believe the culprit(s) exited the home through a sliding patio door at the back of the residence. It also appeared that a vehicle had been parked at the back of the residence.
Approximately $15,000 in jewellery and a quantity of sterling silver was stolen from the residence. The sterling silver is described as an ornate wedding basket with a pedestal and four claw feet with a basket on top and detailed handle, a sterling silver tea set ( four pieces) with designed creamer, sugar bowl, tea pot and coffee pot, a 14 inch round sterling silver tray with design around edge. Also stolen were three Royal Daulton figurines, two jewellery boxes, a masonic ring and pin and GM Engineering cuff-links.
