14 Year Old Female Faces Assault Police and Threat Charges

(NORFOLK COUNTY, ON) – The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Norfolk County Detachment responded to an incident at a Wilson Avenue, Simcoe, Norfolk County, Ontario address.

On Friday, May 8, 2015 at approximately 2:14 a.m., a concerned member of the public contacted police after observing a young female on the Lynn Valley Trail and was concerned for her safety.

Officers attended the area and subsequently located the same female at a MCCall Crescent, Simcoe, Ontario address. She was taken home by police however she became involved in verbal altercation which then turned into a physical confrontation with officers.

As a result, she was taken into custody without further incident.

Police have charged a 14 year old female with the following offences..

· Cause disturbance

· Assault Peace Officer X3

· Uttering threats- cause death or bodily harm

The name of the youth will not be released as per the Youth Criminal Justice Act.

She will appear in Provincial Court, Simcoe to answer to the charges.
