14 Year Old Driver Hits Stop Sign Causing Extensive Damage

(NORFOLK COUNTY, ON) – The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Norfolk County detachment investigated a single motor vehicle collision at a Windham Road 9, Windham, Norfolk County, Ontario address.

On Monday, February 20, 2017 at approximately 6:03 p.m., officers were contacted by a motor vehicle owner reporting a single motor vehicle collision.

Through the course of investigation, it has determined that on Monday, February 20, 2017 at approximately 2:00 p.m., a 14-year-old female of Bayham, Ontario was being taught how to operate the vehicle by her father. It was determined that the vehicle was traveling westbound on Windham Road 9 and was in the process of turning northbound onto Bakers Lane when she lost control of the vehicle and struck a stop sign. As a result, the vehicle sustained heavy front end damage.

No injuries were reported as a result of this incident.
