14 Year Old Driver Charged – Theft Of Motor Vehicle

(South Stormont) – On 23Nov14, at approximately 6:00pm Stormont, Dundas and Glengarry Ontario Provincial Police (SD&G OPP) officers responded to a motor vehicle in the ditch on Highway 138, St. Andrew’s, South Stormont Township.

The investigation revealed that the 14 year old female driver had stolen the vehicle and ended up in a single motor vehicle collision. She was the lone occupant and sustained no injuries. She was also in possession of other stolen items.

The female was arrested and faces charges of:

– Possession of property obtained by crime under $5000 x 2

– Theft of a motor vehicle

She is scheduled to appear in Cornwall court 15Jan15.
