(MUNICIPALITY OF WEST PERTH, ON) On Wednesday August 31, 2011 shortly before 11 a.m., a Perth County OPP officer was conducting patrol along Line 32 west of Road 150, when a fast moving east bound Chevrolet Cavalier was observed. The officer activated the police radar which registered the Cavaliers speed at 134 k/hr in an 80 k/hr zone.
As a result of travelling 54 km above the speed limit, the 46 year old female driver from the Municipality of West Perth was charged with race a motor vehicle”. A check of the Cavaliers documentation revealed that there was no insurance coverage on the vehicle. This resulted in an additional charge of “operate a motor vehicle without insurance” being issued. The driver will have to appear in Stratford Court on September 27
