The Owen Sound Police are investigating an incident where a motorist struck an 11 year old cyclist then continued on without stopping. The accident occurred at approximately 8:10 Tuesday morning (9 th May 2017). The boy was riding his bicycle to school when a motorist travelling east bound on 16 th Street East entered the intersection at 9 th Avenue striking the boys rear tire of his bike with the front drivers side corner of the vehicle. The young boy fell off his bicycle but fortunately he was not injured.
His bicycle received minor damage.
The vehicle has been described as a hatch back, light blue in colour, possibly a Chev Cruze. If anyone has any information with regards to this incident they are encouraged to call Constable
