10 POUNDS OF MARIHUANA SEIZED

(KENORA, ON) Members of the Kenora Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have made a drug seizure as a result of a traffic stop on Highway 17 in Boys Township. On Tuesday August 12, 2014 shortly after 3:00 am, police stopped a vehicle on Highway 17 for a traffic violation. The police investigation resulted in the arrest of the male driver and passenger. With the assistance of the Organized Crime and Enforcement Bureau (OCEB) Kenora Drug Unit, police located approximately 10 pounds of Marihuana in the vehicle. The drugs have an estimated street value of approximately $20,000.

As a result of this investigation, Rajdeep GREWAL, age 22 of Mississauga Ontario and Rupinder SIDHU, age 24 of Brampton Ontario are charged with Possession of a Schedule II Substance for the purpose of trafficking-over 3 kg under the Controlled Drugs and Substance Act. Both males are held for a bail hearing on August 12, 2014.
