Motor Vehicle Collision in Harwich Township

Yesterday morning, emergency crews responded to a two-vehicle collision on Kent Bridge Road near River Line. The first driver, a 16-year-old Blenheim youth was transported via ambulance to the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance for medical attention. The second driver, a 59-year-old Chatham man was not injured. The Chatham man was charged with failing to yield.

Yesterday afternoon, police responded to a two-vehicle collision on Grand Avenue West near Sandys Street. Neither driver was injured. Total damages were estimated at $12,000. A 72-year-old Chatham woman was charged with driving an unsafe vehicle.

Around 12:30 p.m. yesterday afternoon, police responded to single motor vehicle collision on Erieau Road in Harwich Township. The driver lost control of his vehicle, left the roadway and struck a sign and fire hydrant. He was not injured. Damage was estimated at $10,000. The 21-year-old Blenheim man was charged with Careless Driving.
