The Chatham-Kent police have arrested a man following a harassment investigation.
Yesterday morning, a 49-year-old Chatham woman attended police headquarters to report that she was being harassed by a man she had met almost a year ago. Between February 2013 and December 2013, the man was seen driving by the woman’s house and attending various locations in which she was present. The man was asked by the woman to stop following her however he failed to comply with her request.
Just before 8:00 p.m. last night, officers located the man on Grand Avenue East and he was arrested. The 53-year-old Chatham man has been charged with criminal harassment. He has been held in custody pending a bail hearing.
