Officer Settles Couple’s Argument Over Sobriety – One Arrested – Name Released

(FORT FRANCES, ON) – Shortly after 7:00 am on the morning of December 12, 2020 officer from the Rainy River District Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were dispatched to a domestic dispute taking place in a car in the area of Eighth Street West in Fort Frances.

Officers attended the scene and conducted an investigation. The source of the argument was determined to be surrounding the driver’s ability to drive due to alcohol consumption.

As a result of the investigation, Morgan JOURDAIN (25) of Fort Frances was charged criminally with one count of impaired operation of a conveyance and will appear in Fort Frances criminal court on January 4, 2020 at 9:30 am to answer to the charge. 

As a result of this charge, JOURDAIN has been issued a 90 day administrative driver’s licence suspension and the car in question was impounded for a period of 7 days.
