(DUNNVILLE, ON) – Two people are facing drug and weapons charges following a traffic stop on Broad Street in Dunnville.
On August 1, 2023 at approximately 3 p.m., members of the Haldimand and Norfolk Community Street Crime Unit (CSCU) observed an individual in a vehicle who was wanted on an outstanding warrant and initiated a traffic stop.
A search of the individual and the vehicle uncovered a quantity of suspected fentanyl and methamphetamine, along with cash and two prohibited knives.
Jonathan LUMSDEN, 38-years-old of West Lincoln Township, is facing the following charges:
- Possession of a substance for the purpose of trafficking (two counts)
- Possession of a restricted weapon (two counts)
- Possession of property obtained by crime (under $5000)
- Failure to comply with release order (two counts)
- Failure to comply with probation order.
Danielle DEVRIES, 28-years-old of Port Colborne, is charged with the following offences:
- Possession of a substance for the purpose of trafficking (two counts)
- Possession of a restricted weapon (two counts)
- Possession of property obtained by crime (under $5000)
Both individuals have been released from custody and will appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Cayuga on September 5, 2023.
