Jacob CARLTON Arrested

(NORFOLK COUNTY, ON) – One individual was charged with several offences following a traffic stop on Glendale Crescent.

On Saturday, September 9, 2023, at approximately 1:39 a.m., a member of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Norfolk County Detachment stopped and investigated a vehicle at a Glendale Crescent, Norfolk County address following a licence plate status notification from the police cruiser’s Automated Licence Plate Recognition (ALPR) system.

As a result, the driver was taken into custody without incident.

Charged with the following offences is 23-year-old Jacob CARLTON of Norfolk County:

  • Operation while prohibited under the Criminal Code,
  • Operate a motor vehicle without insurance,
  • Use plate not authorized for vehicle,
  • Fail to apply for permit on becoming owner.

The accused is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice located in Simcoe on Tuesday, October 10, 2023.
