Two More Arrested For Break & Enter

(CENTRAL HURON, ON) – Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged two urban explorers with trespassing and mischief following an occurrence that took place at the former Bluewater Youth Correctional Centre this past weekend.

On Sunday, December 19, 2021 a Huron OPP officer was patrolling at the former Bluewater Youth Correctional Centre when the officer noticed a set of fresh tracks entering into the property. Upon further inspection of the main gate officers noticed the security lock to the gate had been cut off.

 Approximately an hour later officers located and arrested both suspects without incident when they exited the building. 

 Matthew WATSON, 23 years of age from Caledon & Joseph SKANES-GIUGA 23 years of age from Brampton have been charged with Mischief and Trespassing. Both have since been released from custody with court appearances scheduled for February 14, 2022 at the Ontario Court of Justice – Goderich.
