Repeat Offender Arrested Again

(GODERICH, ON) – Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged a Goderich resident with Possession of Stolen Property in connection with an incident that took place last night in Goderich.

On September 8, 2021 at approximately 10:00 p.m. Huron OPP officers received a call about two bicycles that had just been stolen from the outside of a business in Goderich. Police responded to the area and began patrolling for the suspect. 

At approximately 11:30 p.m. officers learned one of the bicycles had been recovered by the owner and a friend.  Police learned the suspect was still in the immediate area so they responded and were able to identify and arrest the suspect.

Upon arrest officers learned the accused was also failing to comply with conditions of his probation sentence. 

Aaron WEDGE, 30 years of age from Goderich has been charged with Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5,000 and six counts of Fail to Comply with a Probation Order. 

The accused has been remanded into custody with a bail hearing scheduled for September 10, 2021 at the Ontario Court of Justice – Goderich.

The second bicycle, a red Norco, remains outstanding.
