POLLOCK Arrested For Drunk Driving

(GODERICH, ON) – Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged an Ashfield-Colborne-Wawanosh resident with Impaired driving offences following a collision on January 13th at approximately 11:45 p.m. 

Huron County OPP, Goderich Fire Department and Huron County Paramedic Services were called to the scene of a collision on January 13th, 2023, just before midnight. Upon arrival, emergency services discovered that a single vehicle had impacted the concrete bridge structure and guardrail just North of Goderich on Bluewater Highway, causing considerable damage to the involved sport utility vehicle (SUV). The lone male driver was transported to hospital for minor injuries.

Police spoke to the driver and determined that he had been consuming alcohol prior to driving. The driver was subsequently placed under arrest for Impaired Operation and taken into custody. The driver provided breath samples to police which resulted in readings over twice the legal limit.

Cody POLLOCK, 37 years of age from Ashfield-Colborne-Wawanosh has been charged with:

–      Operation while Impaired

–      Operation while Impaired – Over 80

The involved vehicle was towed and impounded for seven days, and the accused’ driver’s license was suspended for a period of 90 days.

The accused has since been released from custody with a court appearance scheduled for February 27th, 2023, at the Ontario Court of Justice – Goderich.
