Impaired Driver Vs Parked Vehicle

(GODERICH, ON) – Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged Thames Centre resident with several driving related charges following a two-vehicle crash in Goderich this past weekend. 

At approximately 10:53 p.m. on Sunday, July 24, 2022, a Huron County OPP officer was patrolling on Blake Street East in Goderich when he observed a compact car collide head-on with a parked vehicle. The driver was not injured in the crash however while speaking with the driver the investigating officer noted the driver was displaying some signs of impairment. The driver was placed under arrest and was transported to the Huron OPP Detachment for further testing.

Ultimately the driver failed to provide breath samples to the Intoxilizer Technician thus he was charged accordingly. 

Graham PROCTOR, 39 years of age, from Thames Centre has been charged with Operation While Impaired, Failure to Comply with Demand, and Dangerous Operation. The accused was later released with a court appearance scheduled for August 29, 2022, at the Ontario Court of Justice – Goderich.
