Hit & Run Under Investigation

(PERTH EAST, ON) – Perth County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying a driver that failed to remain at the scene of a crash on April 18, 2022, around dinner time.

Just before 5:00 p.m., Perth County OPP officers received a report of a fail to remain collision that took place on Line 33 and Road 107, in the Township of Perth East.

The suspect vehicle was parked on the shoulder facing the same direction as the victim. The victim reported that they came to a stop at the stop sign on Line 33 at Road 107, and when they started to accelerate through the intersection to make a turn, the suspect vehicle accelerated down the shoulder and started pulling into the live lane. The victim collided with the suspect vehicle, which subsequently fled the area.

The collision caused damage to the victim’s vehicle, but there were no injuries.

The suspect vehicle is described as a silver 4-door car. Police believe the suspect vehicle will have damage to the driver’s side front door and wheel well area.
