4 Arrested After Howick Crime Spree

(PERTH COUNTY, ON) – The Perth County and Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have arrested four people after a reported theft and failure to stop for police.

On April 21, 2022, just before 4:00 a.m., a Perth County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officer on general patrol on Perth Road 164, in the Municipality of West Perth, located a suspicious vehicle driving erratically. The vehicle fled when the officer attempted to stop it.

Just before 8:00 a.m., Huron County OPP received a report of a theft that took place during the early morning hours. Multiple parked vehicles located at a business on Queen Street in the Township of Howick were broken into. Multiple windows were smashed and multiple tools taken, totalling a loss of approximately $26,000.

Officers then located the suspect vehicle after it became stuck in a field off Road 170, in the Municipality of West Perth. The four suspects were seen fleeing from the vehicle.
