Drunk Driver Arrested In Exeter

(SOUTH HURON, ON) – Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged a Grand Bend resident with Impaired Operation following an early morning traffic stop last weekend in Exeter.

On Sunday, October 3, 2021 at approximately 4:14 a.m. Huron County OPP officers observed a pickup truck travelling eastbound on Huron Street West in an erratic manner. Upon stopping the pickup truck the investigating officer noted the driver had consumed some alcohol and was displaying signs of impairment.

As such a Standard Field Sobriety Test (SFST) was completed and the driver performed poorly. The driver was subsequently taken into custody and was transported to the Huron OPP Detachment for breath tests. Two samples of breath were provided to the Intoxilizer Technician and both samples were found to be over the legal limit.

Jeremy LYNN, 24 years of age from Grand Bend has been charged with Operation While Impaired and Operation While Impaired – Blood Alcohol Concentration 80 Plus. The accused has since been released from custody with a court appearance scheduled for November 29, 2021 at the Ontario Court of Justice – Goderich.
