Aaron MAIORANA Arrested

(SOUTH HURON, ON) – Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged a South Huron resident with Impaired Operation – Blood Alcohol Concentration (80 Plus) following a failed roadside test on November 05 at approximately 2:07 p.m. on London Road.

At approximately 2:07 p.m. a Huron County OPP officer was patrolling Southbound on London Road when they observed a pickup truck swerve into the same lane as the officer, almost causing a head-on collision. The officer observed the driver holding a hand-held communication device while driving. A traffic stop was initiated, and it led to the investigating officer conducting a roadside screening device test on the driver. The roadside breath test resulted in a failure and the driver was placed under arrest and taken into custody.

The accused was then transported to the Huron OPP Detachment for further breath tests. Two samples of breath were supplied to the Intoxilizer Technician and both tests were found to be over the legal limit.

Aaron MAIORANA, 24 years of age from South Huron has been charged with Operation While Impaired – Blood Alcohol Concentration (80 Plus), as well as offences under the Highway Traffic Act (HTA), Liquor License Control Act (LLCA), and Compulsory Automobile Insurance Act (CAIA).

The accused has since been released from custody with a court appearance scheduled for December 19, 2022, at the Ontario Court of Justice – Goderich.
